Poem #15 “believe”

The Son of man, he came

He walked with us in caves

He stayed our heavy hearts

He washed and set apart

Creating with word what is

Showing in truth we’re his

He stayed our heavy hearts

He cleaned and set apart

He calmed our anxious minds

He cleansed by blood divine

By word he made what is

With us, his adopted kids

A glimpse of garments of grace

The sight of loves embrace

Would silence the most broken mind

Would quench the pain of a heart confined

Poem #7 “Cactus Spikes”

Riverless grace in the face of glory and empty space

Cactus spikes create worry we all in one embrace

Worry of people intrenches with faithless steeples

God help us not steamroll the widow and pre-born God-molds

Image bearers we’re told but like chopped liver we’re sold

Bring back the living God of the young but not so beautiful

The God of the ones not smiled on

The ones who’s daddies run

The one who’s momma’s son

A baby boy

God Joy

Bring back the loved one

The child who knows

The child who runs bold and is not stuck cold

Hidden in the shadows and found in the shallows

Baptized in a Kingdom so hallow

Jesus says “come Follow,

Come Follow”

Jesus says “come Follow”
